Wonderful French Classique 1800's Lord Byron book entitled LE CORSAIRE. The Corsair (1814) is a long tale in verse written by Lord Byron and published by John Murray in London. His poem "The Corsair" sold out its entire first run, all 10,000 copies, in London in one day. "The Corsair" is the tale of a pirate captain willing to risk the love of his life to save a slave in a Turkish harem. This book measure approximately 5.5" tall x 3.6" wide with about 190 pages. This is a darling book. Perfect for styling displays but it can also be taken apart for projects which is something I do all the time.
This is from France. It is not a reproductions. Keep it as it is if you are a collector or take it apart for decoupage, altered art, mixed media and so much more. I have also use these books for wallpaper. One book can be used for so much.
