NEVER did I EVER think I would sell any of these mourning letters. I have been removing them from all of our miscellaneous paper boxes and French freight for the last 10 years. There are mourning letters in everything I unpack. Now in rearranging the office to make room for a new printer I see we have three drawers of them and maybe close to 1000 assorted pieces. Condolence books, letters, death notices and photos which I just can’t share. I had no idea my not wanting to sell these letters would create such a pile of them. I have come to realize that we can’t keep it all so I am listing sets in our store as we sort through them. I am hoping to eventually get three drawers down to one. We have created these letter bundles for our ephemera lovers. Assorted vintage mourning letters, folded notes and such from France in 5 piece bundles. No two are alike. They are all assorted and each piece can contain a letter of some sort or possibly a notice of a death or even a calling card. Some are ripped and some are torn. Some have stamps on them and some do not. We buy these from our French pickers and they come randomly in all our boxes. We just thought these would be great for mixed media, scrapbooking and art projects. We bundle them with black ribbon and put them in a cello sleeve.
PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE NOT REPRODUCTIONS SO THERE IS WEAR AND TEAR COMMENSURATE WITH AGE. WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT IT IN EACH ENVELOPE. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM IF YOU NEED MINT PIECES FOR YOUR ARTWORK.
