Vintage 1930s French Jeu de l'Oie game board, and or chess or checkers. The gameboard itself is wood and is framed in wood. The board measures 10" x 10" and is about .75" deep. The frame on the board allows it to be hung to show either side. It is in nearly mint condition and comes as is, with pieces shown. The directions are in French, and the pieces are easy enough to add. This children's game board is interesting because it features a skull and crossbones.
The Game of the Goose is a classic board game where players race to be the first to reach the final space (63) by rolling dice and moving their pieces. The game features special spaces, including the Bridge, Inn, Well, Maze, and Prison, each with unique rules that affect gameplay. Landing on a "goose" space allows for an extra roll, while some spaces force players to wait, go back, or miss a turn.
