Sometimes things come to me and I am mesmerized by the “why” I will never know. These medals on the rosary and medals on parts of a rosary are a perfect example. Why were the extra medals added? Were the rosary pieces part of a special family rosary? For me there will always be a question behind the question when it comes to these types of finds. This rosary with medals is sold as is. This is an old piece sold as found. Wear commensurate with age.
If you look closely there is a "Beata Julia Billiart" medal. The back side of this medal is one I have NEVER seen before. A shield with a crown. Beata Julia Billiart was (12 July 1751 – 8 April 1816) was a French nun, saint, educator, and founder of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
