Extremely rare Victorian 9 seal wheel spinner seals with motto-inspired intaglios around the wheel and one more seal on each side. This makes a total of 9 individual seals.
This beautiful antique seal wheel dates from the early 1800's. It is in excellent condition with all the original seals including a black agate on one side and a grid pattern on the other. The black agate seal has a lyre on it. The wheel seals are as follows:
"Such Is Life" with a picture of a sailing ship.
"God Gives Us" with a cornucopia.
"Forget Me Not" with a flower.
"By Honesty" with a man.
"For Ever" with two hearts.
"Ever Gay" with a squirrel.
"While I Live I'll Crow" with a picture of a rooster,
It is rare to find these in this mint shape and condition. You could keep it as it is or use it as a pendant by adding a tiny loop in between two of the wheels, this can be done by any professional jeweler.
