Beautifully crafted this seal features a lovely glass main stone in a dark amber hue. This antique Victorian glass seal is a true gem for collectors of vintage and antique jewelry. The seal features the motto "HONOUR HOLDS THE KEY" with a padlock in the center of the seal. Truly the motto and padlock add a touch of sentimental charm to this piece which dates back to the 1850s. The seal matrix is about .50" in diameter and it is just under and inch long. The matrix is in good condition but the end of the brass is broken. The gilding is worn in places but this is typical given it was probably used a lot and it's age of almost 175 plus years.
