Medieval metal detecting find. This is a rare lead token of a "Betrothed LOVE Heart". On one side is the betrothal heart and on the other side there is a crown. This piece was found in England but I am not sure of it's origin. Tokens like this have been around for centuries but finding one with a heart and a crown is rare. These pieces can be very small as this one is. Honestly, I am amazed it was even found. While it is perfect as is I also think it would be wonderful made into a piece of jewelry. If we only knew who made it. Who it was made for and who was the reciever. Circa 1600's - 1700's.
