Rare 1800s antique French door knocker of a hand. We have all seen the Fatima hand door knocker, which is most often found in southern France. However, this one is quite unusual. In the shape of a full hand, you lift and release to knock on a door. This is a large, heavy piece that had to have come from a big door. The hand is made of brass and is the knocker. The back plate is accented with beautiful decorative scrollwork. It measures 6.5" x 5.5", and the depth of the hand is 1.6". Truly an amazing, rare piece of antique French craftsmanship.
