Beautiful antique French botanical painting on canvas. The painting is an original piece on canvas, stretched over a wooden frame. The canvas is held in place with small tacks that go all around. The canvas is intact on the frame. While the canvas painting is an antique the frame is not as old. It appears to have been restretched onto a frame that is not the original or this could have been mounted under glass. The blooms are big and bold, with texture as they rise from the canvas. This is a lovely old piece. I have a thing for these old botanical paintings; this one is beautiful with the large blooms. The overall dimensions are 18" x 15" x 1", and it is a large piece. The 1" accounts for the frame's depth.
