Beautiful antique 1800s French holy picture of the Madonna and child with two angels looking up from below. Found in Normandy with a large collection of similar items. This is a lovely religious relic in excellent condition, a souvenir of N. D. de Chevremont. Notre-Dame de Chevremont is a prominent Marian pilgrimage site located in Vaux-sous-Chevremont. It consists of a major basilica and a smaller, much older chapel situated on a hilltop overlooking the Vesdre River valley. This iconic piece is framed in brass, and the original glass is intact and undamaged. The back is papered in black and has the original loop hanger at the top. The outer frame measures 4" x 2.2".
