Original and beautiful antique miniature French oil painting from the mid-1800s. This is an original oil-on-board piece. This is fabulous hanging, but it looks even better on a small easel. The painting is an original oil-on-board piece in a gilt wooden frame. The frame is from the 1900s, and the oil painting was placed inside the front of the frame. It just happened to fit. This is not the original frame, if there ever was one. The back of the frame is covered in the original marble paper with the original tag on it. There is an eye hook for hanging, but this looks good on a small easel or leaning. The overall dimensions are 6" x 4" x 0.70". The 0.70" represents the frame's depth. The board looks pretty thick and probably measures .25" in depth. This painting is signed Napopovich. Miniatures of this age are getting harder and harder to find.
