This is a beautiful antique French miniature botanical oil painting. The painting is in the original gilt and black frame. The florals appear to have some texture as if raised, and the piece is signed. There is old paper on the back that has come undone from the frame. I can see that the florals have been painted on an old board. There is a loop hanger on the top held in place with a nail. The overall dimensions are 4" wide x " high x .35" deep. The oil painting is in excellent condition. This is circa the late 1800s. It is a gorgeous miniature oil painting.
These petite gilt-framed oil paintings are highly sought after and becoming very difficult to find.
