Lovely roman numbers for a clock. These are all black and white. Normally there would be shields with these but they are long gone. It appears that someone tried to glue the numbers onto the clock face without the shields which would help them adhere to the clock face. These came from France but are clearly marked Germany. After a little research I found that German clocksmiths provided clock parts all over Europe and at some point started including the country of origin. Possibly for tax purposes but I am not sure. These are made of metal (not enamel) and show minimal signs of wear except for the backs which are covered in glue. I have NOT cleaned any of these. They are as they came to me.
