Beautiful antique relic I purchased in Italy, Sadly, I don't have any backstory on this piece other than to say that it is a handmade Holy Relic in the shape of a cross. It is a gorgeous piece made with silk and paper. Around the entire edge of this piece is zig-zag stitching accented in gold and there are hand painted florals on the left and right side. I can't see that it ever had a hanger so it wasn't meant to hang. Possibly a traveling piece. This relic measures 35" x 3".
