Excellent 1700s papier dominote book about the French Constitution. This book's cover is made with papier dominote paper overprinted in French type. 'Domino' printed paper is decorated paper, the patterns having been printed using a woodblock with color applied using a paintbrush or stencil. In France, these sheets of paper decorated with geometric or floral patterns peaked in popularity during the second half of the XVIII th century. The patterns remain popular today and are considered extremely collectible items. This antique book is 230 years old and is in great condition. It measures approximately 3.5” x 5” with about 72 pages. These are getting harder and harder to find. This is an original from France. This is not a reproduction.
