These darling early 1900's French Cylinder cases are fabulous. Phonograph cylinders were produced around the late 1800'e - early 1900's and they held a specific sound recording as detailed on the paper labels to the top. The are made of faux leather, paper and metal tacks along the side.
While the cylinders are in each one of these cases they are strictly used for decorative purposes. Five of the seven cylinders are broken and two are intact. We use these as decorative pieces for display and styling and the boxes can also be used for storing trinkets and little items. These measure approximately 4.5" x 2.5".
