What a gorgeous vintage French paint box! The picturesque lid opens to reveal four paint colors, metal paint dishes, a brush, and a few other goodies, including an easel. It's a lovely decorative piece. The box is in great shape, and contents are as pictured. The metal mixing trays are rusted, but that is to be expected, given the age of the box. The art set measures 9" x 6.2" x 2.4". I consider this an excellent find.
