The RAREST of the RARE. Fabulous antique French FLEUR DE LIS enamel roman numbers for a clock. These are all Black and White and there are 12 brass shields which the numbers would normally sit in to frame them out. I have put some of the numbers in the frames to show how stunning they look. There are pins on the backs of these numbers where they would have been fitted to the clock. These are all antiques from France so there will be slight wear but if you look at the pictures you would see that these are pretty much in MINT condition given their age. The back of number VIII has chipping but I have NOT cleaned any of these pieces. Nor did I clean the small frames. I myself have just started finding the small frames which are very rare. I suspect most people that collect the frames would use them for something else like jewelry which is why you generally don't see them.
