This is a beautiful, large, early 1800s antique embossed and chiseled metal ex-voto from Italy. It is a stunning piece of religious art. This ex-voto measures 5" long by 3.75" wide. This is a handmade piece of that era, which would have been an offering to a saint for a vow made "giving thanks" for "miracles received". On a religious ex-voto, the inscription PCR stands for the Italian phrase "Per Grazia Ricevuta," which translates to "For a Grace Received". These types of pieces are must-haves for collectors of decorative Christian works of art. The intricate details and fine craftsmanship make it a beautiful addition to any home or collection. Although this is Italian, we found it in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. That being said, this piece has traveled. It is an amazing piece of faded grandeur.
