Beautiful 19th-century French religious icon. This antique piece is made of meerschaum. and once had convex glass on the front, which is long gone. The frame is made of copper and the back is covered in black paper. Overall, the icon is in good condition despite the glass being missing. However, it needs a good cleaning as years of dust from not having the glass on the front has built up. The piece measures 2" long. It is 1.5" wide and .50" deep. There is a slit on top where a ring once was for hanging but a replacement should not be difficult to add.
