Beautiful 19th-century French religious icon. The carving features a fine portrait of Mary's Sacred Heart. This antique piece is made of meerschaum and once had convex glass on the front, which is long gone. The frame is made of brass, and the back is covered in black paper that has worn off over time. Overall, the icon is in good worn condition despite the missing glass. This is a beautiful collector's item; however, it needs a good cleaning as years of dust from not having the glass on the front has built up. The piece measures 2.25" long, 1.75" wide, and .70" deep. The original ring is still on the top of this iconic piece.
