A delicious morceau of authentic vintage French printed cotton textile (cretonne). It features a classic 19th-century French Provincial or Indienne layout that mimics traditional hand-blocked woodcut prints. Traditional French country hues using faded garance (madder root) burgundy red, paired with muted sage olive green on a raw, heavy natural linen-colored base. This is a distinctly robust, unglazed cotton weave with a highly visible natural grain line. This makes it ideal for historical drapery panels, accent cushions, or provincial upholstery projects. This particular piece is actually a panel from a window or bed drapery. It measures approximately 1.45 yards x 2.65 yards. This is a very large piece of fabric in lovely condition and would be fabulous for so many things.
