This object is an antiquesilver-plated French Catholic portrait medallion, featuring a highly detailed bas-relief of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (traditionally depicted as a Carmelite nun in her habit and wimple). The central plaque features a central medallion depicting the saint in profile or semi-profile, enclosed within a contrasting inner brass bezel. The medal is decorated with a ribbon motif at the top and vine-like details around the center plaque. It dates back to approximately the 1920s-1930s. It measures 2.25" x 2" and is in fabulous condition.
