Stunning antique silver cherub wax seal stamp. We recently purchased a wax seal collection in Camborne, England—a small parish outside of Cambridge. This large, solid silver seal stamp was part of the collection. Standing at 2", it is a stunning cherub holding a basket. The seal base is a gorgeous green malachite stone. The malachite stone is highly valued for its exceptional color, which ranges from pale green to the most intense green. When polished, one can observe concentric rings and kinds of ribbons that further highlight its sublime shades of green. The seal stands at 2" tall, and the base rectangle is 1.25" x .90". We had it cleaned, and the base is hallmarked. I had to see it in its original glory. The seal is a work of art and looks fantastic under one of our domes.
