Beautiful antique scapulars from France, Italy, and Spain. Unfortunately, we cannot tell which country each piece came from as we purchased an entire collection of over 250 pieces. Each scapular has been hand-sewn.
Scapular A is made of soft cloth and hand-painted with floral baskets with pale pink stitching. Both sides measure approximately 1.65" x 1.65".
Scapula B is made of soft cloth with red flowers painted on it. It is secured with red stitching around each side. It measures approximately 1.1" x 1.1".
Scapular C is made of pale pink cloth with green stemmed and white florals. It is stitched in pale pink around the edges and measures approximately 1.4" x 1" on each side,
Scapulars were usually made to order by nuns in convents. Devotional scapulars are objects of popular piety designed to show the wearer's pledge to a confraternity, a saint, or a way of life and remind the wearer of that promise.
Please note that these are not new. These are antiques, so wear is commensurate with age.
