Beautiful antique scapulars from France, Italy, and Spain. Unfortunately, we cannot tell which country each piece came from as we purchased an entire collection of over 250 pieces. Each scapular has been hand-sewn.
Scapular A is cloth with a hand-painted dove and blue stitching on it. It measures approximately 1".
Scapula B feels like waxed cloth with hand-painted pink flowers on it. It measures approximately 1".
Scapula C feels like firm paper and cloth with flowers painted on it. It measures approximately 75".
Scapulars were usually made to order by nuns in convents. Devotional scapulars are objects of popular piety designed to show the wearer's pledge to a confraternity, a saint, or a way of life and remind the wearer of that promise.
Please note that these are not new. These are antiques, so wear is commensurate with age.
