Darling antique French Miniature Paintings. These beautiful oil on-board pieces from the 1930s are wonderful original paintings we purchased in France. I love these pieces and the beach theme. Both pieces are oil on board mounted in round gilt wood frames. The backs have carvings where the artist named and dated the pieces. I can't see all of the names, but I can read "Iles de ?",(the island ?) but I can see the date: 1933. The diameter of each piece is,4" which is the outer edge of the frame, and they both have the original hanger on them. The artist signed each piece on the lower right side, and it is barely noticeable in the frame. They are both charming, picturesque, and tranquil pieces. You are purchasing one painting per purchase: A or B.
A is a sailboat with a red sail in an inlet.
B is wildflowers growing on the dunes with the ocean in the background.
