Own a piece of history—original and beautiful antique miniature French oil painting, circa the late 1700s to early 1800s. The painting depicts a woman with a cow on a lake, surrounded by trees and a home in the background. This is an original oil-on-board piece. You can see the wood vein marks in the painting. The small brush strokes on this piece are amazing. This is a fabulous hanging, but it looks even better on a small easel. The painting is an original oil-on-board piece in a wooden frame. The frame has been repaired, adding to the charm of this over 200-year-old piece. The back has a single paper on it that I can't read. The overall dimensions are 6" x 4" x 0.75". The 0.75" represents the board's depth. Miniatures of this age is are getting harder and harder to find.
