Sometimes things come to me from Europe and I am mesmerized by the “why” I will never know. These medals on the rosary and medals on parts of a rosary are a perfect example of the why of things. While this rosary is from Italy I think the additional medals are from France. Why were the extra medals added? Were the rosary pieces part of a special family rosary? For me there will always be a question behind the question when it comes to these types of finds. This rosary with medals is sold as is. It is a stunning piece with pink pearl like beading. This is an old piece sold as found. I did not clean it. Wear commensurate with age. Found in Belgium which means this piece has traveled a lot and has a history we will never know.
