Wonderful French 1790 Papier Dominote book. This is a VERY RARE pattern for a Dominote book. 'Domino' printed paper is decorated paper, with patterns printed using a woodblock and color applied with a paintbrush or stencil. In France and Italy, these sheets of paper decorated with geometric or floral patterns reached their peak in popularity during the second half of the XVIII th century. The patterns remain popular today and are considered extremely collectible items. This antique book is almost 250 years old. It measures approximately 5.75” x 3.5” and contains about 178 pages. The spine is worn, and the bindings are intact. It is in fantastic condition given its age, and these are getting harder and harder to find. This is an original from France. This is not a reproduction.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN ANTIQUE AND NOT A REPRODUCTION, SO THERE IS WEAR AND TEAR COMMENSURATE WITH AGE.
Comes in a cello sleeve.
