Beautiful antique hand Carved French wood panel. This is an original solid piece of wood that has been hand carved. This has to have gone to a very old piece of furniture as I have several pieces (twelve) and some show where hinges would go. This one has to have been just a decorative piece as I see no way that it was attached. The overall dimensions are 6" x 14" x 2". The 2" is the depth of the nose at the tip. The back of this piece is not flat. It is beveled like it was possibly inserted. This is the original patina as I can by the back of the wood. I purchased this piece in Provence and I was told it was from the from the mid 1800's.
