Beautiful antique Georgian mythological glass seal/fob/pendant. This is a stunning piece. The white metal (silver) and purple stone make for a timeless combination. This antique Georgian seal is a true gem for both collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. The seal is an original piece and is not hallmarked. It is 2.3 cm long. Seal part is 1. 8 cm x 1.6 cm in dimensions. It has a small chip on the seal, but the overall condition is fine. It is in good condition given its age of 200 years. "Georgian white metal" refers to silver which was the only readily available white metal during the Georgian era, used primarily in jewelry as it was considered the best setting for diamonds due to its color-enhancing properties; since white gold and platinum were not yet commonly used in jewelry at that time.
