Darling antique French Silk flowers Reliquary box is a stunning piece. This is a reliquary box for a special occasion. A remembrance to someone who has passed or to remember a special occasion. The box is made of wood and has a framed glass lid on the front. Inside the box is a stunning bouquet of silk and velvet flowers with a silk bow on the bottom. The bouquet is securely held to the back of the box. The box is not lined. It is all wood. The framed glass front is attached with nails and not meant to come off. There is a single hook hanger on the back for hanging, but this relic sits beautifully as well. The box is a very good size at 7.5" wide x 10" tall and is 3.75" deep. This is a lovely and deliceux piece from the early 1800s. If only I knew who the flowers were for and what they represent.
