Beautiful antique French wall pocket. This is a silk hand-painted boudoir wall pocket from the early 1900s, which we found in Normandy. Painted roses and small country flowers adorn this trimmed piece that has been trimmed in silk cord with a ribbon sunburst at the top. This is a strong piece with no deterioration to the silk. There are a couple of very pale marks at the top edge, but these do not detract from the piece. The wall pocket measures 15.5" tall and 8.3" wide and is a delicieux old silk confection.
