Darling miniature antique Italian-made Victorian revival oval frame featuring an ornate, distressed gold finish and containing a portrait print of a lady adorned with a floral garland. This image features a vintage miniature print replica of the famous Rococo oil painting Madame du Barry en Flore. She is depicted allegorically as Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, draped gracefully in a colorful floral garland with blossoms intricately woven into her hair.
The miniature print is safely set behind a protective glass cover and housed in a classic, wide-oval giltwood frame, featuring an intentional red-undercoat faux-distressing technique to create a timeless, aged antique appearance. The frame measures 4" x 3/5". The back is covered in antique paper, and the original triangle hanger is still in place.
