I love antique and vintage medals. I just love everything about them. These are all from a large lot we acquired in France. I have done a bit of research on each one.
"A" is the Médaille de Saint Hélène, 1857. While the inscription on the back reads 5 MAI 1824 it is in fact dated 1857.
"B" commemorated the war with "NEVER FORGET THE WAR OF 1870 1871".
"C" commemorates WWI 1914 - 1918.
These are all originals. They are not reproductions. I can imagine them used for a lot of different things including a wall display, ornaments or part of a jewelry composition. I would love to have given my girls the Choral Society Medal when they were in school. What a great gift that would have been. These medals are sold individually.
