Antique French marble font (stoups). This is a religious devotional item we found in Provence, France. The backplate is green marble with a bronze medallion and glass font. The medalliion features Jesus and Mary Magdeline. The font is held in place with a bronze-decorated ribbon trim. Holding the marble in place is an additional brass plate. The back has the original hanger and all the original pieces used to make the font. This lovely piece measures 5.5" x 3.7" and is in mint condition.
