Antique French Bell Brand mandolin strings with complete packages and strings. This is new old stock, circa late 1800s to early 1900s. These were specifically designed for a mandolin, manufactured by the National Musical String Co. in New Brunswick, N.J., USA. The box text is printed in French for export and notes distribution outposts in London, Paris, and Mexico City, reflecting the brand's early 20th-century global reach. The packaging indicates they are "Argent Plaque sur Acier" (silver-plated steel), a common material for these types of strings in the early to mid-20th century. There are 9 strings still in the original tissue packaging. The box measures 3.2" x .75" and is in excellent condition.
