Beautiful late-1800s, early-1900s antique French framed icon. This is a stunning, iconic print with the Madonna and child and Sacre Coeur. Fabulous crowns! The piece has glass over the front and paperboard on the back. Simply framed under glass with passe-partout edges. Passe-partout is a picture or photograph simply mounted between a piece of glass and a sheet of cardboard (or two pieces of glass) stuck together at the edges with adhesive tape. In this case, the tape was actually marbled paper. The original glass is in excellent condition, and the original hanger is still on the back. The art piece measures 9.5" x 6.5" x .25" —another excellent antique from France.
