This is an antique French lithographed tin box from circa 1900, originally used for "Macarons Douaisiens". Macarons Douaisiens, a specialty patisserie biscuit from the town of Douai in northern France. The rectangular tin features a multicolored design with a portrait of a woman in traditional attire, adorned with ornate lettering and decorative floral elements. The ornate typography bears the title "La Seule & Unique Renommée" (The One & Only Renowned). It also notes a warning to "Éviter les Contrefaçons" (Avoid Counterfeits) to highlight the brand's premium reputation.
