Beautiful antique framed relic of St. Louis. This is a beveled box frame relic with intricate detail. The box frame measures 4" x 5.25" x 1". The 1" dimension refers to the depth of the box frame. Inside is a chromo that reads "VERO RITRATTO DI S LUIGI". Translated, this means "true portrait of St. Louis." The chromo is surrounded by white paper cut to form loops. On the left side of the chromo, there is also brown paper cut similarly. The outer edge of the frame is embossed with gilt paper. The back of the frame is made of brown kraft paper that appears to have been further secured with a thin parchment.
At the top of the frame is a cord loop hanger, which can also be seen inside the frame at the top of the chromo. This is a unique original we found in Normandy, France.
