A lovely bedside or domestic holy water stoup dating from the late 1700s to early 1800s. This is a beautiful font crafted in polychrome earthenware. It depicts Christ on the Cross, displaying the stigmata of the Passion. The basin is solid, and I can see no signs of surface crazing. It measures 8.75" x 4.2". The font depth is approximately 3.2" with a diameter of 2.8". Overall, this antique font remains in excellent condition considering its age of 300-plus years.
