I love these antique bird cages. They are lovely shades of turquoise green and blue. They are called "Cage pour oiseaux de chant". Songbird cages. These are all from France, and each one has a small ceramic drinking pot. These cages are dated to the 1800s, and this is the original paint. We have several available, and they are all the same. Photos are a good representation of actual color. The cages were very dusty, so we gave them a light brush-off. There is some peeling and missing paint, but the overall appearance is uniform. This should be expected with something over 125 years old, but the color is stunning!
