8" Wide French antique bobbin lace trim. This is lovely, handmade in hemp from the 1800s. The lace is in great condition ( New Old Stock) and has never been used. The lace is sold as found. This is an old and antique trim made of hand-spun hemp fiber yarn. (We recommend that the buyer wash it before use, preferably by hand (although it can also be machine washed) with warm water and a neutral natural soap. Let it air dry in sunlight if possible. This has been stored for many years, so it may have some tea-stain age freckles. Different women and threads made this handmade lace; on some occasions, the color of each roll, from the same type, differs slightly.
