Darling antique miniature picture portrait of a woman. This 1800s French piece measures approximately 1.75" x 2.4". The frame is made of brass, featuring the original brass loop hanger at the top. The original glass is intact. The back is made of worn velvet, which is held in place by the frame claws. At one time, there was a paper stand, but it has been torn away. This lovely piece is a tinted and hand-colored piece on silk, but I'm not sure. I did not open the back to verify this. I did not want to damage the claws on the frame. I love the hat and hairstyle. This is a fabulous piece of history. It would be great to hang, but it can also be worn as a pendant.
