A late 19th-century needlework chair cover. Wool on hemp, this is a beautiful piece. Found in Provence, France, this depicts a floral center with stylized florals and ribbons around the sides. Done on a jute back. Colors are still strong and vibrant. There is some labeling on this piece, but I am unclear as to what it means. It measures 23" x 23".
