Beautiful antique 1800s French holy picture. Found in Normandy with a large collection of similar items. This is a lovely religious relic in excellent condition, a souvenir of Lourdes. Inside an oval brass frame is the scene of N.D. de Lourdes, as she appeared to Bernadette many times in the mid-1800s. This iconic brass-framed piece has the original glass intact and undamaged. The back is papered in black and has the original loop hanger at the top. Inside the frame, the piece is mixed media with beautifully written text, paper, and florals on what I think is a cream silk. The outer frame measures 4" x 2.2". Truly a stunning antique piece in excellent condition.
