Beautiful silver three stone 'swivel fob seal pendant'. These gemstones are beautifully cut ovals. The seal features a beautiful oval-shaped carnelian stone in a rich brown color, a red bloodstone and a black onyx. The stones swing perfectly about a central pin. The frame is composed of decorative filigree work with small silver balls on the outer edges. This leads to an apical finial and ring through which a necklace can pass, to be worn around the neck. This is a beautiful Edwardian style seal pendant. A true gem for both collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. It is .80" wide and about 1" tall. Perfect to use and wear on a chain as a pendant.
While it isn't marked we did have it tested and it is at 900 grade. 900 grade silver, also known as coin silver, is a silver grade that is 90% silver and 10% other metals. It is a relatively uncommon grade these days as it used to be traditionally melted down from coinage. Something that isn't a common practice today but clearly helps date the seal. This fob seal pendant is a true gem for both collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. This piece is in wonderful condition given its age and it is perfect to wear on a chain as a pendant.
