Beautiful antique Edwardian rolled Gold fob seal pendant. The Edwardian era, from 1901 to 1914 in the United Kingdom, was marked by a shift away from the strict Victorian era. This is a stunning piece. The rolled gold material with the scalloped top makes for a lovely combination. Rolled gold, also known as gold-filled -or gold overlay, is a material created by bonding a layer of gold to a base metal like brass or copper. It's a more durable and a less expensive alternative to solid gold, offering a similar appearance and lasting longer than gold plating. I purchased this piece as part of a private collector collection. This antique Edwardian seal is a true gem for collectors and antique jewelry enthusiasts. It is .65" long and .45" wide and about 1" tall. This piece is in excellent condition, given its age of 110 years. Perfect to use and wear on a chain as a pendant.
