Beautiful antique French sewing case fitted with original sewing tools circa the late 1800's. I absolutely love this sewing case. It has a cream exterior with green markings and a cream/yellow silk and velvet interior. Inside the case, there are sewing necessities that are beautifully decorated in elegant patterned styling. Comprising of a pair of scissors, a thimble, needle case etui, and a stiletto awl. All are housed within the original velvet-lined fitted presentation box retailed by H. Cayrel "Bijoutier" (jeweler) of Narbonne, France. A retailer specializing in small items, jewelry, and decorative objects. The box is in excellent condition, and the original hinges and closure mechanism work perfectly. The case measures 5" x 3" x 1". This is a darling original piece in fantastic condition. We purchased this case from a private sewering collection in Provence, along with a large collection of threads, notions, and textiles.
